Atronic International appoints Atomic Gaming as distributor for Africa and Indian Ocean Islands below the Tropic of Cancer

2008/06/02

Atronic International (GmbH) announced today that Atomic Gaming (Pty) has been appointed as Atronic’s distributor for Africa. Atomic Gaming will distribute gaming machines, signage, and other related game media.

Atronic has been looking for a distribution partner to further grow its market share in the region. The partner was to have a vested interest in the local market, as well as the ability to easily align itself to the high standards worldwide customers expect from Atronic and its products.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to work with Atronic. As we enter into the market, their performance of linked gaming products, such as Cash Fever™ and King Kong Cash, are doing extremely well,” said Cliff Lamberton, Managing Director of Atomic Gaming. “Atronic has an extensive range of games and cabinets to choose from. The proven e-motion™ cabinet has been superseded with the e²™ cabinet that boasts the same elegance as its predecessor, but has dual 19” screens and a host of additional player comfort features. New entries to the market are the Harmony™ Upright and Slant Top cabinets. The Harmony™ cabinet will be available to the African market with an unprecedented 25+ games.”

“We are very pleased with the formation and appointment of Atomic Gaming as our distributor in Africa. It is important for us to work with a partner that will emulate Atronic’s corporate vision of ‘Great Games, Great People’. We are confident we have found that in Atomic Gaming.” stated Thierry Aiglon, Chief Operating Officer of Atronic International.

Atronic is a market leader in Europe, Russia, and Latin America, with a solid presence in the U.S. and growing footprints in Africa and Asia. Atronic is dedicated to producing only the highest quality of entertaining games and products, including dynamic casino management and linked gaming solutions which are being operated in 91 countries worldwide. Atronic holds a total of 226 worldwide gaming licenses including the United States of America, where it is licensed to sell machines in 26 states and to 164 tribes.

Atronic is a member of the Gaming Standards Association and supports open industry standards such as Game to System (G2S) and System to System (S2S).

Atomic Gaming’s three principle partners and company Directors are Andrew Stewart, Cliff Lamberton and Mike Wilkinson, with Markus Prader and Clint Young holding a minority stake in the company. The partners all have solid domain knowledge of the gaming industry and established relationships within the South African gaming industry and with Atronic International.
